Purpose of the role
The purpose of the Senior Business Development Manager is to drive sustainable growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in the chemical, petrochemical, bio- and emerging industries, while also maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
The Senior Business Development Manager will represent the Process Plants (PP) BU at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events. This not only involves showcasing the company’s offerings, but also gathering insights, spotting trends, and making connections that can drive future business that align with the Sulzer/Chemtech’s Ambitions 2028 vision and goals.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
>5-7 years as technical sales manager, market/business development manager in the field of process solutions for bio-chemicals and/or bio-fuels and/or renewable/circular industries.
Profound experience in developing early-stage customers into partners and/or developing these into sales projects, market development and application/portfolio management.
Solid experience with working cross-functional and multicultural teams in sales, applications/product and/or business development.
