Senior Business Controller

Industry: MNC Market leading Tire Trading and Manufacturing Company

Location: Town

Job responsibilities:

1. Engage the commercial sales to formulate sales and pricing strategies, develop business models, track business performance, identify process weaknesses and propose resolutions to help the company reach its goals.
2. Collaborate with supply chain in logistics and supply chain management which include the review of replenishment plans to factories and transfer price management.
3. Improve the cost effectiveness (including ocean freight, inbound/outbound freight, warehousing and handling charges) and process efficiencies in deploying available logistic and supply chain resources to achieve desired results in line with business model.
4. Monitor inventory movements, review inventory aging reports, highlight aged/slow moving inventory and coordinate actions plans with commercial team.
5. Responsible for monthly rolling forecast and other related management reports in coordination with overseas sales entities to support FP&A in the monthly group reporting and analysis.
6. Prepare and analyse monthly Group SBU and entity PL. Provide actual vs budget overview of sales performance and associated selling & general administrative expenses including freight, logistics, advertising and promotion, joint promotion and other selling expenses.
7. Proactively and timely report to senior management identified areas of deficiencies and seek solutions and activate action plans.
8. Lead the SBU in business planning and management, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and other routine/ad hoc reporting.
9. Assist senior management in financial simulations, business modelling, merger and acquisitions, IT initiatives and any other additional responsibilities as assigned.
10. Contract Management (commercial contracts with customers).
11. Any ad hoc assignment as assigned.

Skills and requirements:

1. Bachelor in Finance or Accounting or its equivalent.
2. At least 5 - 8 years of pricing and controlling experience in supply chain industry.
3. Candidate from the Tire industry is highly preferred.
4. Commercially driven with strong financial analysis capability and possesses business acumen.
5. Able to deep dive into issues and adopt a hands-on approach in tackling challenges and resolving problems.
6. Highly proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Power-point, Access).
7. Experience in business analytics and reporting (BAR) will be advantageous.
8. Able to maintain confidentiality of financial information, independent and strong communication skills both in written and verbal form.
9. Strong business acumen, analytical skills and problem solving skill.
10. Open and comfortable with frequent travelling to USA for work.
