The Senior Business Analyst (IT Applications) plays a key role in bridging business needs with IT solutions, ensuring that various IT applications (eg. ERP, Fleet Management System, Customer Portal) meet business objectives. The role involves gathering requirements, analyzing processes, supporting system implementations and working closely with business users and vendors to drive application enhancements and adoption. This job role reports to the Senior Manager (IT Applications).
Job Descriptions:
Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements for IT applications (eg. functional requirements, user stories, process flows) and document them into functional specification documents.
Facilitate discussions / workshops / design sprints to identify gaps / additional business needs
Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement through automation and system enhancements
Collaborate with end users to define use cases, workflows and business rules
Illustrate design ideas and business processes using storyboards, process flows and wireframes
Work with software vendors to ensure system changes, enhancements, and integrations align with business needs
Assist in planning, coordinating and executing system changes, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
Prepare test scenarios and test scripts for UAT
Conduct user training and create user guides/manuals to improve system adoption
Function as a Project Manager when required, coordinating tasks, timelines and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide application support, troubleshooting functional issues and escalating to vendors when needed.
Perform any additional duties and manage IT applications related projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, Application Support, or related roles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Adaptable to change and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills, with an ability to operate under pressure and be deadline driven
Familiarity with core business processes (e.g., sales, supply chain management, finance) or knowledge / working experience with UI/UX design / wireframing tools would be an added advantage
