Senior Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Business Analyst with a strong background in investment/banking applications. The successful candidate will work on complex IT projects, including system integrations and data migrations, collaborating closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other business analysts to deliver effective solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems, data analysis, and technology-based business analysis, along with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring effective system integrations and seamless data migrations.
2. Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and development teams to define, analyze, and document business requirements.
3. Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), use cases in Gherkin format, and other visual modeling and process documentation.
4. Analyze, interpret, and validate data requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and investment/banking industry standards.
5. Utilize expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and APIs to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and integration tasks.
6. Identify patterns and develop models for data analysis and reporting needs.
7. Oversee and support product management activities within an Agile framework, prioritizing deliverables and maintaining a strong delivery focus.
8. Act as a bridge between IT and business teams, ensuring all technical solutions align with business requirements and strategic objectives.
9. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, enhancing workflows, UI/UX, and adhering to software engineering best practices.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 8 to 10 years of experience in technology business analysis or software development, particularly within the investment/banking applications domain.
3. Proven experience overseeing complex IT projects with an emphasis on system integrations and data migrations.
4. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
5. Demonstrated expertise in documenting BRD, FSD, use cases in Gherkin format, visual modeling, and business processes.
6. High proficiency with ETL processes, SQL, API integrations, and data analysis.
7. Solid knowledge of Product Management and Agile Methodology, with a strong delivery and result-oriented focus.
8. Ability to manage and influence teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. In-depth understanding of financial applications, workflows, UI/UX principles, database design, and software engineering best practices.
10. Knowledge of the investment business domain is essential.
