Senior Automation Systems Expert (Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing Processes)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation System Expert to oversee and enhance our pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. This individual will play a key role in implementing, optimizing, and maintaining automated systems to ensure high-efficiency production while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Automation System Design and Implementation:
   Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated control systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
   Oversee the integration of automated systems into existing manufacturing equipment and processes.
   Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, IT) to ensure seamless system implementation.
2. Process Optimization and Efficiency:
   Monitor and analyze production systems to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
   Develop and implement strategies to improve system reliability, productivity, and quality control.
   Continuously monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or adjustments to improve efficiency and output.
3. Compliance and Quality Control:
   Ensure that all automation processes comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and other industry standards.
   Develop and enforce quality control measures related to automated manufacturing processes.
   Lead risk assessments and process validation activities related to automation systems.
4. Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
   Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
   Offer ongoing support and training to manufacturing personnel to ensure effective use of automation systems.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   Maintain accurate documentation of automation system design, changes, testing, and validation results.
   Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance, and improvements for senior management.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   Stay current with new trends and technologies in automation and pharmaceuticals manufacturing.
   Recommend and implement new automation technologies that can improve production processes.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation systems within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of automation systems, control systems (PLC, SCADA, Siemens PCS7), and process automation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
4. Experience in system integration, process validation, and troubleshooting.
5. Knowledge of data analysis, artificial intelligence, or machine learning in manufacturing environments.
6. Certification in project management or Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing.
