Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Transport Associate to optimize our transportation and logistics operations. This role focuses on data-driven decision making, cost modelling, and capacity planning to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to manage routing, optimize transport capacity, and ensure seamless transport operations.

The Associate will monitor and manage transport costs and spur cost-saving initiatives based on the overall network strategy and projected demand in planning network and zonal capacity across our Fulfilment Centres and our island-wide delivery network. The Associate will work closely with Finance, Capacity Planning, Technology & Transport 3PLs to understand and identify the manpower and mechanical/technical resource requirements and support the Transport Operations leads in execution. The candidate will also lead a team of routers to optimize RedMart Routes to maintain cost and operational efficiency.

1. Cost Management
   - Develop and update operations costs models and track data continuously.
   - Assist in planning and monitoring budget for transport operations, including spend in specific buckets by working with Finance and Operations teams.
   - Implement cost and efficiency improvement initiatives.
2. Capacity Management
   - Manage the day-to-day capacity planning for Transport Operations, considering zone, wave, contractor, vehicles, seasonality, etc.
   - Work and align closely with Capacity Planning team to estimate, challenge and fulfil weekly transport capacity requirements.
   - Route and wave planning based on selected zones and subzones.
   - Adjust operational plans in an agile manner, with rapid deployment of alternatives.
   - Perform ad-hoc changes on daily & weekly basis.
   - Engage in initiatives to optimize Zonal demand such as Re-zoning.
3. Routing
   - Lead a team of routers to execute the capacity plan on a daily basis, ensuring route efficiency and accuracy.
   - Incorporate seasonal and road diversion plans into the capacity model and ensure resource requirements are planned and arranged in time to support all activities.
   - Work closely with Transport Operations to validate and align routes.
   - Work closely with Tech team to improve route quality based on routing standards of Service Time, Interdrop Distance, Volume Capacity, and Interdrop Travel Time.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or advanced diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
• A good understanding of land transport operations, with at least 5 years of prior experience in a network planning role being advantageous.
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret data sets and translate business findings into business recommendations.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to meet deadlines via prioritization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table & vLookup).
• Strong numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and manage information, data, and trends. Knowledge of SQL will be an added advantage.
• Only prefer candidates who do not require a visa to work in Singapore.
• Must be comfortable to work 100% onsite at 47 Jalan Buroh.
