Senior Associate, Regional Operations

Shopee’s Regional Marketplace Operations department is constantly solving problems and introducing innovative solutions to improve platform usability and enhance end-user experience for our buyers, sellers, and partners.

Our teams sit at the core of our business and collaborate with various departments to manage end-to-end e-commerce processes and design scalable solutions to create impact across multiple markets. To do so, we deeply dive into the fundamentals of each aspect and drive strategic initiatives to sharpen our policy, processes, and features for greater product and operational excellence.

Job Description:

• Optimise Seller Ops Strategy: Monitor and analyse seller performance metrics (e.g., fulfilment & shipping, penalty policy, seller programs) to identify areas for improvement. Proactively work with sellers and enablers to drive performance improvements and enhance platform policies
• Solve Real-world Problems: Take ownership of complex seller-related issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them in a timely and efficient manner
• Ops excellence with AI & Automation: Optimise seller operations by identifying process inefficiencies, implementing automation, and introducing best practices. Act as a subject matter expert on operational processes and policies
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as product, tech, and local markets to address seller-related issues and deliver solutions that enhance the seller experience
• Data-Driven Insights: Use data analytics to monitor trends, identify performance gaps, and develop actionable insights to optimise seller operations

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year’ experience in management consulting, experience in a tech company is a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams from diverse markets and backgrounds
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in a dynamic and multicultural environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking with strong interest in working with large data sets
• Experience/proficiency in SQL and/or excel is required
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment
