Senior Assistant Manager, Operational Support Services (WSH)

Job Scope:

1. Perform the duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and related WSH Regulations.

2. Design and implement WSH management systems and risk management plans for the workplace.

3. Develop and promote programs to foster a strong WSH culture, habits, and norms within the organization.

4. Create and deliver WSH training programs to enhance workplace safety awareness.

5. Advise management on updates to relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Standards, and provide recommendations on safety, health, and environmental protection matters.

6. Conduct WSH inspections and assess non-compliance, unsafe practices, and working conditions to identify performance gaps.

7. Support risk management efforts in the workplace by recommending, implementing, and evaluating actions to enhance safety performance and mitigate risks.

8. Lead incident investigations and offer recommendations to address the root causes of safety incidents.

9. Act as the secretariat for the WSH and Fire Safety committees, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with ACOP requirements.

10. Lead efforts to achieve accreditation for Bizsafe certification, progressing from Level 3 to Bizsafe Star, and ensure ISO 45001 and Ensure Safer System (ESS) certifications.

11. Oversee and conduct periodic audits for Bizsafe Star and ISO 45001 certifications.

12. Provide assistance in areas related to Facilities Management, Hospitality, and Facilities Development.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. A recognised Degree in Workplace Safety and Health recognised under Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

2. At least 5 years of relevant WSH working experience.

3. SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager and MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.

4. Experience in obtaining Bizsafe Star and ISO45001 certification for past/current workplace will be preferred.

5. Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
