About Department and Purpose of the Position
As an (Senior) Assistant Manager / Manager in Operations Support Services (General Services), you are a key player for procurement of services as well as management of services and projects undertaken by the department. This role requires the incumbent with good technical background, engineering knowledge, cost management and contract administration skills.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Reports to the Head Operations Support Services (OSS)/ General Services in NUH, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative and operations support for various functions for the hospital.
  2. Manage operation and systems as well as review and improve the functional units in OSS/General Services.
  3. Ensure timely review of service/lease/license contract terms and conditions and costs of services/contracts.
  4. Assist with the department’s logistics, equipment and services including procurement, inventory, payments and records management.
  5. Assist with the review and updating of the department’s policy, SOP documents, training plans for staff, emergency response plan for the department and financial budgeting.
  6. Work with the various functions to manage and review the feedback/incidents and ensure corrective action and necessary follow-up.
  7. Work with staff from various functions to initiate different types of projects (A & A, Rejuvenation, Improvement) and supervise their implementation.
  8. Work closely with internal departments/clinics and external agencies to coordinate operations, compliances and collaborative partnerships.
  9. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.


Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor Degree in any discipline.
  2. 5 years or more of related working experience.
  3. Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. A critical thinker, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  5. Competent in IT skills (Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and visualization tools.
