About Department and Purpose of the Position

As an (Senior) Assistant Manager / Manager in Operations Support Services (General Services), you are a key player for procurement of services as well as management of services and projects undertaken by the department. This role requires the incumbent with good technical background, engineering knowledge, cost management and contract administration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Procurement of services as well as management of services and projects from inception, execution and to completion.
  2. Coordinate requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Review requirements and work specifications.
  4. Carry out budget estimation and seek budget.
  5. Perform procurement of goods and services required.
  6. Implement works in accordance to budget and schedule.
  7. Ensure works comply with regulatory and project requirements.
  8. Oversee works till successful completion.
  9. Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  1. Degree in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Science or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  3. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications e.g. MS Words, Excel & Powerpoint, M365, Autodesk Viewer and data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau.
  4. Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills will be an advantage.
  5. Good team player, able to work independently to meet targets in a fast pace and dynamic environment.
  6. Effective time management is essential, proactive in getting things done in a timely manner.
  7. Service oriented and customer focused.
  8. Dynamic and motivated with keen interest in continuous improvements and work excellence.
  9. Ability to multi-task and to meet tight timeline.
