Job description

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to develop strategies and manage projects in the drug discovery and development space. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders to contribute to the local drug development scene and support the growth of Singapore's biotech ecosystem.

An Officer in this role will:

  1. Develop and execute the overall strategy for the STDR programme, including plans for ecosystem development.
  2. Provide oversight and management to the programme, including implementing changes and interventions, to ensure goals are achieved.
  3. Organise and participate in the review, selection and grants administration process of the programme.
  4. Coordinate and prepare accurate and timely reports of the programme to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Manage multi-institutional research projects and act as a liaison between the research teams and stakeholders.
  6. Conduct active project management to monitor and track the progress, timeline, and budget of projects; including supporting translation/commercialisation efforts and assisting to resolve issues and challenges related to the projects.
  7. Organise and coordinate training events such as symposia, workshops, seminars, and industry engagement sessions.
  8. Perform any other relevant secretariat and related duties as required.

Requirements

  1. Degree or postgraduate degree in the Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  2. 2 years of working experience in the Biomedical, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals or Biotech industry, or in a science-business role.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of the drug discovery and development process, alternative drug modalities, and R&D ecosystem would be a plus.
  4. Prior experience in grant administration and/or strategy will be advantageous.
  5. Strong organisational, planning and analytical skills.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Independent and a strong team player.
  8. Ability to thrive in complex situations involving multiple stakeholders across functional groups and levels.

Willingness to learn, with adaptability and flexibility to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description.
