Job description
The Job Responsibilities
The key job purpose of this position is to coordinate and optimize all administrative functions of IDMxS, ensuring operational efficiency, strategic planning, and effective management of all the operational matters in IDMxS.
He/She is responsible to oversee the full spectrum of grant administration including, Research Grant call, Proposal Submission, Contracts Management, and infrastructure management including facilities/laboratories management and Events Management.
He/She would also be the key centre liaison person with the governing board, the Scientific Advisory Board and government funding agencies, other IHLs and any other IDMxS’s research collaborators.
He/She is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective governance programmes to ensure adherence to the relevant regulations, policies and ethical standards as required by IDMxS’s funding agency, government and statutory legislators.
This role would be an effective partner to the senior management team by contributing to the development of IDMxS’s strategic and operating plans.
The role is responsible to build the optimal corporate service organisation structure and allocate the necessary resources to assist IDMxS’s senior leadership in achieving IDMxS’s research goals and ensure long-term success.
Experiences Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business administration, or a related field from a recognized University
Minimum ten years of experience in senior managerial or administrative position and a proven record of excellence performance
Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Deep understanding of organization-wide policies, guidelines, and procedures
Strong understanding of research business administration principles and have the financial acumen to engage in strategic planning and organisational development with senior leadership
Dynamic individual with proven leadership qualities
Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Value and excel at working in collaborative environment
Ability to work with people of various levels, expertise and cultures
Excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills to drive continuous improvement
