Application Technologist

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work closely with our development team to provide technical expertise in product development while working directly with customers to create successful applications. Key Responsibilities

• Drive product development across multiple applications including beverages, confectionery, dairy, and savory
• Develop formulations for new products and revise existing formulas to meet changing requirements
• Conduct stability studies across different product matrices to ensure consistent performance
• Partner with customers to develop and optimize product formulations
• Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and parameters
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in production environments
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentation
• Keep up-to-date with new ingredient technologies and their potential applications
• Evaluate ingredient interactions and determine optimal usage levels
• Understand and communicate processing constraints and ingredient restrictions
• Build and maintain detailed documentation of flavor performance and stability data
• Follow proper laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Select optimal flavor and ingredient combinations based on technical requirements
• Support regulatory compliance in formula development
• Transfer technical knowledge to customer R&D teams when needed

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Food Science/Technology or related field
• Minimum 3 years hands-on application development experience
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes
• Practical knowledge of flavor applications and stability
• Experience working directly with customers
• Proven ability to solve technical challenges
• Good documentation and communication skills
