Senior Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Define and document equipment process requirements and specifications.
• Perform process characterization to optimize critical process paths in order to meet equipment specifications.
• Review, simplify, and optimize internal buy-off specifications for equipment together with the Quality Assurance Department.
• Participate in continuous process improvement activities to enhance equipment capability.
• Support equipment manufacturing activities by helping to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
• Support other internal departments to handle customers’ process-related issues and recommend technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis using statistical techniques and conduct process capability studies.
• Transfer process knowledge to in-house engineers and technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Equipment UPH projection calculation based on specific process parameters.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Production, Mechanical, or Material Science Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in an equipment manufacturing environment with a process engineering background.
• Strong interest in the development of new manufacturing processes.
• Experience in process design and control in the area of laser marking processes.
• Knowledge in Material Science will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in cycle time calculation.
• Trained in SPC, DOE, and other statistical tools.
