Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & AccountingSingapore – Hybrid working mode
In this role, you will join the Finance & Accounting department that is responsible for providing finance support specifically involved in regulatory reporting, accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting to internal and/or external stakeholders.
DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?- Ability to analyze the financial statements and suggested treatment for assets/liabilities under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
- Prepare financial statements under IFRS 17 and collaborate with the actuarial and ESS teams to ensure accurate financial and management reporting.
- Preparation, review and e-file of GST returns.
- Review of estimate income tax computation working closely with tax team and external tax agent.
- Prepare balance sheet variance analysis and liaise with counterparts for variance explanations on balances and movements providing insightful review to manager.
- Review and analyze cash flow movement on a quarterly basis.
- Assist in month end regulatory reporting, including month end reconciliation of TB and schedules.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit deliverables are produced and issued on a timely manner.
- Manage the requests and queries from internal and external stakeholders (i.e., group finance, operations, actuarial, external auditors, consultant).
- Manage and coordinate administrative tasks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the financial reporting and accounting functions.
You will report to Manager, Finance Reporting and Accounting.SHARE your talentWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:- Degree in Accountancy &/or recognized accounting qualification ACCA/CPA/CIMA.
- Several years of working experience in IFRS 17 reporting in the insurance industry or consulting firms.
- Audit experience with a focus in the insurance market and basic knowledge of IFRS17 and tax regulation are welcomed.
- Strong knowledge in cash flow and balance sheet accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and under own initiative.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs.
- Able to organise self (and others if applicable) including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude.
- Comfortable taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point.
