Senior Accounts Executive

Workday: 5 Days

You will be performing a full set of accounts for a subsidy of BYD by 1826.

Accounts Receivable:

1. Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
2. Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of payments.
3. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or billing issues with customers.
5. Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and interactions.

Accounts Payable:

1. Process vendor invoices accurately and timely for payment approval.
2. Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for.
3. Review and approve employee expense reports for reimbursement.
4. Coordinate with departments to obtain necessary approvals for payment processing.
5. Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers.
6. Maintain vendor files and update records with new information as needed.
7. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies or issues.
8. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

General Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, procurement, and operations teams, to streamline processes and resolve issues.
2. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
4. Provide support during audits and financial reviews as necessary.
5. Utilize accounting software and tools to manage receivable and payable transactions efficiently.
6. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in accounts receivable and accounts payable management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Proven 5 years or more experience in the full spectrum of accounting/finance.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
4. Proficiency in accounting software.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
9. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
