About this role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting processes. The Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for the daily finance operations, financial reporting, and collaborative stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transaction Processing:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end processing & reviewing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.

Reconciliation, Reporting & Analysis:

  • Conduct regular reconciliations of financial data (eg. daily sales report, credit card statements etc) and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Timely closing of books and preparation of financial statements with supporting schedules.
  • Preparation of management reports for financial analysis.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Preparation and filing of GST returns
  • Assist with the preparation of information for year-end audits and corporate tax filing
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Process Improvements:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
  • Document standard operating procedures to streamline financial operations and processes.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and provide support.
  • Work closely with external auditors during periodic audits.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate Tax and GST.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (Microsoft Business Central)
