Adecco is partnering with a stable and growing company to hire a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the monthly general ledger closing process, APAC currency report, and forecasting cash flow to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Main duties & responsibilities
Lead the monthly and yearly financial closing process, including journal entries and intercompany reconciliations
Oversee the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, ensuring accurate records from acquisition to disposal
Manage the IFRS16 lease accounting cycle, including lease maintenance in Lease Controller
Assist with periodic reporting and variance analysis to Head Office
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare GST returns and other statutory reports, including government submissions
Support corporate tax return preparation
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, Group/Entity Policies, and SOX
Assist with internal and external audits
Propose and implement automation initiatives to improve efficiency
Prepare Currency Exposure Reports and assist with cashflow forecasting for the APAC region
Manage currency rate updates and oversee bank account and corporate credit card administration
Support ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Director of Accounting and Shared Services
The Talent Requirements
Chartered Accountant, accounting professional certifications, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CA, etc.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, audit
Proficiency in SAP
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
Excellent English and presentation skills for clear communication
Solid technical knowledge of accounting, SOX compliance, and internal controls
Experience working in an MNC environment with global financial standards
Proactive, with strong problem-solving and task ownership skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
