Security Officer

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
• Provide excellent customer service
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
• Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigation
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
• Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
• Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of security guard experience
• Must have Security Officer Licence, by Police PLRD, must have the Recognise Terrorist Threats (RTT) training (or Handle Counter Terrorism Activities (HCTA), have SSO Upgrade courses (preferred): Operate Basic Security Equipment – OBSE or Manage Disorderly Conduct & Threatening Behaviour - MDCTB
• Able to work day and night shift
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company’s screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Registered as a security officer
• High School diploma is required
• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Knowledge of Basic Security and Fire Inspection Procedures
