About the Role: Finance leader for South East Asia and accountable for leading Finance for the division which generates U$150m of revenue and partnering with the Business Leaders to drive performance and strategy for the business. The Finance Director is required to build relationships across the wider CBRE organization, sharing knowledge of the local market, influencing stakeholders, bringing together a diverse mix of people, SMEs and functions in order to grow the CBRE financial performance and mitigate risks. The Finance Director provides leadership, training and decision-making support to the finance teams dedicated to the business unit.
What You'll Do:
Business Partnering
Drive & control financial performance throughout the business
Provide financial and commercial advice to country leaders
Ensure reporting consistency, accuracy, and integrity to CBRE APAC leadership teams
Use commercial acumen to ensure we meet contractual requirements and maximize returns to the Company profits and cashflow.
Lead the transition & go-live of new accounts in South East Asia
Support the resolution of business challenges if & when they arise, in coordination with the business leaders.
Develop an "Acts of service" culture, aiming at enhancing dedicated accounts teams' ability to outperform business & financial objectives
Financial Compliance
Support & coordinate dedicated account teams for all CBRE corporate finance matters & processes (Budgeting, forecasting, P&L & balance sheet management)
Support CBRE's central controllership teams, ensuring compliance processes are followed by dedicated account teams
Coach country finance team to implement financial compliance check points
Support & lead - whenever required - the enhancement of financial capabilities for the Local businesses in South East Asia
Drive CBRE finance processes improvement projects
People Management & Leadership
Build, lead and motivate a diverse and effective team. Empower team members to take responsibility and accountability.
Convey messages and ideas clearly and openly. Involve people and influence decisions.
Lead structured performance management, personal development, talent and succession activities to ensure that there is a robust pipeline of talent available.
Maintain a pool of strong South East Asia based finance experts (Finance leads, Finance managers, Finance Analysts)
Facilitate knowledge sharing across accounts and between CBRE's platform and accounts
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least 10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Qualified accountant and member of recognised accounting organisation preferred but not mandatory if candidate can demonstrate equivalent skillset
Experience driving financial performance in an industrial business context. Knowledge of Facility Management markets is an advantage
Local financial statutory knowledge across SEA markets is an advantage
Experience of planning and forecasting financial performance within a multi million organisation
Demonstrated management experience, in a matrix organisation
Experience managing a high degree of complexity, bringing together financial, commercial, operational and people considerations, to secure the best outcomes
International/regional/cross-country or multi-cultural experience
Experience with contract management is preferable
Ability to work in a Matrix organisation involving many stakeholders
Ability to convince, influence or persuade others to gain support for own agenda across the organisation
Microsoft Office product literate, excel modelling and data manipulation skills
Solid understanding of modern Digital & Technology solutions, used to facilitate and enhance business performance (ERP, Reporting tools, Cloud based solutions, etc.)
