Script Writer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Script Writer to join our team and craft engaging scripts for short drama and work with directors to accurately portray the drama as written as it is written. As a Scriptwriter, you will be responsible for developing compelling narratives, ensuring the content resonates with our target audience, and collaborating closely with our production and creative teams. This role requires a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with producers and directors to maximize storytelling effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write engaging, clear, and concise scripts for short drama across various platforms, including social media, commercials, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with the production team and work closely with the director to create storyboards, ensuring the script’s vision is accurately portrayed.
• Brainstorm ideas and develop innovative concepts that align with the brand and project objectives.
• Adapt scripts for various formats (e.g., social media, online ads, brand storytelling) while maintaining consistency with the brand’s tone and voice.
• Conduct research to ensure accuracy and authenticity in scripts, particularly when addressing specific themes, industries, or technical subjects.
• Work collaboratively with directors, producers, and designers to ensure the script and storyboard align with the overall creative vision and production goals.
• Accept and incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients, revising scripts and storyboards as necessary to meet project requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Communications, Media, Creative Writing, or related field (preferred).
• 2-3 years of scriptwriting experience, especially for short videos and social media.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Familiarity with video production and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating storyboards and using script writing tools (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx).
• Knowledge of current trends in digital content.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
• Creative, proactive, and self-motivated.
