The A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A*STAR IHDP) focuses on research that aims to improve and impact the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course.
A*STAR IHDP invites applications for a Scientist (Research Fellow) position in Statistics. The project focuses on methodological and computational contributions in Statistics, within the Bayesian framework. Specifically, the candidate will work on the analysis of data obtained from multiple questionnaires measuring several markers of child behaviour and executive function. Moreover, the complex interplay with maternal mental health will be explored by integrating data from different, but related, sources.
The Biostatistics group within IHDP works in close contact with clinical and biomedical researchers across Institutes of Higher Learning. Motivating applications arise from cohort studies such as GUSTO (Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes) and S-PRESTO (Singapore PREconception Study of Long-Term Maternal and Child Outcome), and the NUS Human Potential Translational Research Programme. Appointment will be on a 1-year contract.
