Job Description

In the Area of Teaching and Learning:

1. Prepare and get ready resources for Science teaching and learning.
2. Assist Science teachers in the setting up of experiments for Science lessons and clearing of resources after each lesson.
3. Assist in setting up ICT and Science equipment such as projectors, iPads, dataloggers, and microscopes for Science lessons.
4. Perform yearly inventory and stock taking of Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace.
5. Organise the Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace.
6. Maintain cleanliness and assist in ensuring safety in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace at all times.
7. Assist in conducting simple Science enrichment activities during designated recesses or Science school-based events to complement Science learning in the classroom.

Science Projects:

1. Assist in the loan and yearly inventory and stock taking of resources in various Science Programmes (e.g., TinkerSpace Programme, Science Sparkles, E2K-Ignite Programmes).
2. Assist the department in monitoring the Aquaponics System, including feeding the fishes and harvesting the produce.
3. Assist the department in feeding and maintaining the Mealworm Beetles and Stick Insects Enclosure.
4. Must be able to comfortably handle ‘live’ specimens (e.g., mealworm beetles).

Others:

Perform any other duties as assigned by HOD Science.
