Overall Responsibilities:

1. Preparing and maintaining science laboratories and equipment.
2. Carrying out safety checks on equipment, e.g., Bunsen tubing, etc.
3. Carrying out risk assessments for technical activities.
4. Disposing of waste materials.
5. Collecting apparatus and chemicals from storage.
6. Preparing experiments, necessary solutions, and setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff.
7. Liaising with staff over the use of equipment and stock.
8. Taking stock of chemicals, consumables, stationery, books, and breakable items and advising on replacement needs.
9. Purchasing sundries from local supermarkets.
10. Other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Applied Chemistry preferred. Candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
2. Minimum two (2) years of experience in an international school environment, preferably handling science laboratory functions.
3. Must have a strong understanding, knowledge, and experience of IGCSE and IB DP curriculum.
4. Able to start immediately/within a short notice.
