Job Objectives:

  • Provide strategic and operational support to ensure that the organization's current and future human resource requirements are met.
  • Focus on talent acquisition, employee retention, engagement, development, performance management, employee relations, policy deployment; coaching leaders and managers to deliver people management capabilities, diagnose business issues and provide appropriate HR services/recommendations to address needs, supporting business growth strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of People with implementation of HR policies, services and programs for the respective business.
  • Reinforce the company and HR strategy and directive into suitable communication to inform, influence, and engage employees toward the company objective.
  • Work closely with Centre of Excellence (CoE) to review areas of improvement of HR policies, benefits, programs and ensure seamless execution of HR initiatives to the business and employees.
  • Provide local consultation, guidance, and support for managers on policy interpretation, performance, talent development, employee engagement, and employee relations and any other HR matters.
  • Identify/anticipate change management activities within the business area; drive and/or facilitate the change with appropriate measures and control the sustainability of change processes.
  • Participate in annual talent reviews and calibration sessions to support the identification and selection of talents and support succession planning initiatives.
  • Be the catalyst to drive mobility through knowing the people ready to move and networking for potential opportunities.
  • Provide insights on local market trends, employee engagement, and talent management strategies.
  • Drive the HR annual cycle (People Tempo) i.e., annual performance calibration, salary review etc. within the partner business sector.
  • Ensure consistent approach by detecting behavior of Managers and employees that is not in line with company expectations and application of disciplinary measures within the business where appropriate.
  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive workplace culture, ensuring alignment with local labor regulations.
  • Participate in review and enhancement of HR work processes by leveraging data and/or technology to drive efficient and optimal processes.
  • Be the change agent who possesses a growth mindset, continuously seeking improvements.
  • Develop and coach managers to a leader-led model.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations and organizational policies in all HR activities and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure Ethics and Compliance approach and the respective rules and behaviors are respected and followed by employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personal data protection and ensure the Company Data Privacy Program implementation and its compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business or HRM with at least 5 years HR experience in a multinational environment.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM, IHRP) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis is a plus.
  • Have an engaging personality capable of representing HR to Business Leaders with a consultative approach.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment, including with blue-collar workforce.
