Job Objectives

The Contracts Manager will be part of a small, global and highly specialized contracts team within Satair. The main focus of this position will be on the business of Satair in the Asia Pacific region and will support Satair contracts related to products and services in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders. In addition, the position is aimed to support the other, regular activity of the Satair contracts team by supporting any contract-related activity, e.g. drafting and updating contractual templates, supporting the evolution of Satair’s Terms & Conditions, improving our processes or participating in other projects.

The position will be located in Singapore and requires the ability to travel for work, mainly within Asia-Pacific and exceptionally also to Europe.

Job Responsibilities

1. Build, draft, negotiate, approve and manage any commercial downstream contracts for Satair Pte Ltd and for the rest of the Satair organisation (including Airbus S.A.S.) in compliance with our processes and policies and while minimizing our risks
2. Manage contract lifecycle, from the internal validation and archiving to the implementation and follow-up, as e.g. amendments, renewal and termination, as well as disputes
3. Harmonize the contracting experience of our customers across sites and entities (Airbus vs Satair)
4. Support the Satair contracts team in managing commercial policies of Satair and Airbus Services
5. Assist internal stakeholders in the Satair organisation (acting on behalf of Satair entities for distribution business and acting on behalf of Airbus for Airbus parts) and Airbus (Customer Support Directors, Supplier Management etc) by providing guidance and ensuring compliance on contractual topics
6. Support Airbus Aircraft Sales and Services Campaigns by providing negotiation guidance on material-related topics and balancing risk and opportunities
7. Drive the digitalization of general contracts lifecycle management within Satair

Job Requirements

1. At least 3 years of experience in an international commercial contracting or legal environment, or another relevant role
2. At least 2 years of experience in drafting and/or negotiating commercial contracts in English or equivalent experience.
3. Understanding of English law with regards to commercial contracts, understanding of Chinese law would be a plus
4. Preferably a degree in Law, Business, Finance, (Aerospace) Engineering or equivalent
5. Ideally a high degree of aviation business understanding
6. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in English and proficiency in Mandarin will be a plus
7. Customer minded with a strong intercultural understanding
8. Diplomacy, negotiation and persuasion skills
9. Strong stakeholder and relationship management
10. Able to reach agreements on a non-confrontational win-win basis

13. Ability to participate and contribute to transversal, international projects and company targets
14. Able to work in a self-directed, autonomous mode with minimal supervision
15. Professional level of discretion, keeping confidentiality of contractual matters
16. Solid skills in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace are a plus
