Role: SAS Developer Admin

Location: Singapore

Job Objectives:

Our team comprises 4 specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support Bank’s Analytical reporting and dashboarding requirements. This includes developing, centralizing and standardizing technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore, the subsidiaries and overseas branches.

We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer & Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing SAS codes and strong experience managing large SAS platforms based on Windows Server.

The role requires effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across various business domains and experience in documentation and change management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

SAS Administration

  1. Manage and maintain the SAS 9.4/Viya platform, including user management, security roles, and system monitoring.
  2. Ensure the stability and performance of the SAS environment through regular system maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAS application services, and server performance. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance across the SAS platform.

Stakeholder Management

  1. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
  2. Work closely with stakeholders from various business areas to understand their reporting needs and provide solutions that add value.
  3. Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users to maximize the adoption and usage of SAS.
  4. Plan & collaborate across different application teams to manage technical and functional dependencies of the solution.
  5. Collate, understand and finalize functional and technical requirements.
  6. Provide status updates related to technical delivery to Project Manager (PM)/ Program Manager on functional deliveries.
  7. Partner with Architects and Development Lead to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards.
  8. Partner with Development Manager in managing application teams to build the enhancements.
  9. Partner with Test Manager to ensure completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance/load testing and application security testing with quality results.
  10. Escalate issues that impact project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions.

Documentation and Change Management

  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, system configurations, and user guides.
  2. Manage the change process, ensuring that all changes to the SAS platform are thoroughly tested, documented, and approved before implementation.
  3. Maintain version control and ensure proper documentation of all development changes.
  4. Prepare and manage technical implementation plans across application teams to ensure non-event production cutover and adequate post-implementation support.

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills & Experience

  1. Strong knowledge of SAS 9.4/Viya server architecture.
  2. Experience in managing large-scale SAS platform, including performance tuning and system monitoring.
  3. Installation and configuration of SAS 9.4/Viya Platform.
  4. Experience in migrating SAS 9.4 platform to SAS Viya including SAS objects and data migration.
  5. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  7. Experience with documentation and change management processes.
  8. Good track record in developing and delivering global/regional IT capabilities for a multi-national/regional company with annual budgetary responsibility.
  9. Experience in the banking industry preferred.
  10. Proven result-oriented person with a focus on delivery.
  11. Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience.
  12. Good understanding and experience in the software development cycle.
  13. Highly effective in communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient in communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
  14. Good problem-solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills.

Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar domain.
  2. Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.
