We are searching for a technical, creative, and hands-on SAP Basis Administrator to join the SAP Technology team. In this role, you will be required to provide optimal solutions for a complex and integrated landscape, thinking broadly and quickly.

Description

Being responsible for complete SAP solutions, the SAP Technology team manages and supports databases for SAP systems. In this role, you will participate in a global technical team, learn new technologies, and develop elegant solutions to complex problems. You will demonstrate problem-solving and multi-tasking skills while working under pressure and exercising your knowledge of SAP Basis. Key Responsibilities

1. Accountable for landscape management, availability, and performance of all SAP systems.
2. Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP landscapes, configurations, and procedures.
3. Coordinate with different teams in the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of SAP systems.
4. Support SAP systems throughout the lifecycle of projects.
5. Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and apply patches as necessary to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
6. Participate in proactive database monitoring and performance tuning of large HANA systems.
7. Installation, upgrade, and maintenance of HANA databases.
8. Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems to minimize data loss in case of failures.
9. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
10. Investigate and resolve SAP system issues, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
11. Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
12. Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations teams, and service providers.
13. Drive for continuous improvement as a team member.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 7 years of SAP Basis administration experience in large environments, preferably running SAP Business Suites including S/4 HANA.
• At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and troubleshooting of HANA databases.
• Experience on SAP S/4 HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementation and upgrade of S/4 HANA.
• Experience in user management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of HANA databases.
• Having participated in a minimum of 3-4 implementations of SAP systems.
• Experience in high availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes, and backup mechanisms.
• Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and installations including HANA Database.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams spread across regions.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to take ownership of work activities and take them to conclusion in a timely and efficient manner.
• Proficiency in SAP system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
