Sea Oil Petroleum Pte Ltd is a company that specializes in the physical supply of bunker fuel and lubricants, oil and petroleum products, and offshore supply management services. Established in April 2015, Sea Oil Petroleum is located in Singapore and is part of the Nathalin Group in Thailand.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bunker Trader / Marketer. You will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of sales, marketing, and trading of bunker fuel and managing your portfolio.

Candidate will be offered a package of basic salary + a very attractive commission structure.

Requirements for the role:

1. You will be required to canvas for new clients and manage existing client accounts.
2. Be up to date with oil market developments and information.
3. Daily duties will include active brokering/trading of marine fuels on behalf of clients ensuring optimum rates that benefit both the company and the client.
4. Required to monitor customers’ payments and ensure late payments are chased.
5. You will work as part of a team and will report to a line manager or team leader.
6. In the event of any disagreements or claims, you will be required to manage any claims arising and assist with legal actions involving customers or suppliers.
7. May have to work outside of normal working hours, so a degree of flexibility is an advantage.
8. 2 to 3 years of experience in this trade is preferred.

Key skills and qualifications:

1. Minimum qualification - diploma or degree is required.
2. Previous experience in Sales & Marketing in the shipping, oil & gas industry, or experience in brokering/trading in other markets will be considered.
3. Need to be organized and capable of maintaining CRM (customer relationship management) systems and good general administrative skills.
4. You must be outgoing and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. You must be able to present information to clients in a concise manner and have good sales techniques.
6. You must be able to work as part of a team and support other team members as required.
7. Must be familiar with standard industry computer programs e.g., Microsoft Office.
