About the Position:

The client has recently expanded their product offering into Southeast Asia, launching across Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. They're looking for a talented Sales Operations Manager - Singapore focused on driving financial and business outcomes in the region, specifically focusing on supporting the Singapore-based team. The Sales Operations Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations based in Sydney and support local commercial negotiations, deliver regional reporting, and maintain data governance across the sales systems and processes, whilst driving sales enablement and Go-to-Market initiatives.

This role will also work closely with the finance and legal teams to work through new customer onboarding and sales agreements. Working with the headquarters to understand top-down financial policies and guidelines whilst working locally to implement these for the Singapore subsidiary is expected.

Role and Responsibilities

Business Operations:

  • Drive completion of local sales agreements and commercial contracts across advertising revenue and partnership revenue.
  • Develop, prepare and/or maintain documentation about business processes, systems operation, product development, and other technical processes that relate to SEA.
  • Ensure documentation accurately reflects changes in a product, service, or process and develop/maintain support tools to service the organization as it relates to using our sales systems.
  • Support the development, maintenance and implementation of Sales Operation processes, policies and workflows alongside the Singapore-based Business Operations Manager.
  • Support the onboarding of new products and customers into existing sales systems, including initial operational setup and ongoing governance. This includes training and testing of system processes and enhancements.
  • Report sales performance via various platforms including Salesforce, SSP's, DSP, DOMO, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement across sales operational processes.
  • Drive compliance across creative guidelines and advertising standards across the region.

Financial Operations:

  • Support the completion of quarterly sales targets and required analysis.
  • Approve annual and ad-hoc deal pricing, and provide commercial support as required.
  • Propose strategies to increase fill/CPM/productivity across all regions/products.
  • Support local sales team to acquire new customers and increase market share which includes supporting new customer onboarding and documentation.
  • Management of discounts and approval of prices outside of agreed discretionary allowances.
  • Support the annual budget (management planning) process and monthly forecasts as required.
  • Management of yield and review of local rate cards to optimise revenue across the territories.
  • Generation of regional reporting including monetisation/fill rates, attachment rates, and productivity metrics across the region.

Others:

  • Establish and refine business practices that adhere to local subsidiary guidelines.
  • Be the subject matter expert across pricing, tax, commercial, creative and legislative nuances across SEA.
  • Drive adoption of local best practices to other regions, and support with training as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement across operations, and assist where required.
  • Assist with Head of Operations with expansion projects/commercial feasibility where required.
  • Act as a local conduit to the local subsidiary and provide general support as required from the Sydney-based team.
  • Support the local site lead in all operations, administration, and reporting matters.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the current media landscape, with knowledge of SEA's digital and CTV advertising space.
  • 10+ years of industry or relatable experience supporting the Advertising Sales function.
  • 10+ years of Advanced Excel skills including a deep understanding of formulas and financial modeling.
  • 10+ years of Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • 5+ years experience with Salesforce.
  • 5+ years experience with SAP.
  • Experience with working within a global / matrix organisation.
  • Experience with commercial negotiations with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Korean speaking is considered highly advantageous for those with bilingual skills.
  • The individual must be a motivated self-starter responsible for building and growing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
