About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading premium audio brands as it develops and expands its pro audio business in Singapore and Malaysia.

You will act as the leading brand and product ambassador to drive sales in the region by developing verticals, managing sales partners, and establishing, building, and maintaining strong trusted relationships with key players (rental companies, integrators, sound designers, and engineers).

Key Tasks

  • Implementation of APAC's GtM Programs through partners, key accounts, and end users in accordance with APAC's Business Strategy.
  • Lead sales efforts within the country, focusing on driving revenue through sales partnerships and direct engagements.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Education, Application Support, and Business Development to ensure achievement of country goals.
  • Communicate, cooperate and coordinate sales support activities with Education and Application Support, Business Development, Product Service, and Territory Marketing.
  • Directly manage relationships with sales partners and key accounts, ensuring that they are effectively contributing to the sales pipeline.
  • Monitor sales performance through KPIs and metrics, prepare and present regular reports to the APAC Senior Commercial Director and APAC Management.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for developing sales and maximizing the markets’ potential in the region together with the partners and direct accounts.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with partners.
  • Responsible for setting up and carrying out a schedule of sales-related actions and activities together with the Sales partners and other key players.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of successful sales management experience in the professional audio sector in Singapore and Malaysia and will have a demonstrable background in long-term relationship building and management. It is essential that you have a network of contacts within the region and an understanding of the latest technologies and applications in pro audio, sound reinforcement, and live sound. In addition, you should speak fluent English.

To excel in this role, you should have strong commercial acumen, be able to work autonomously and take ownership of projects, and possess first-class client relationship and leadership skills.

The Sales Manager, Singapore and Malaysia reports to the Senior Commercial Director.

Key Job Characteristics:

  • Must be fluent in Malay and English languages (other languages will be advantageous).
  • Must be an excellent communicator with a high-level sales-management background.
  • Must be able to work as part of a growing international team, across sales and marketing, technical support, and customer services.
  • Will be required to make decisions relating to all aspects of sales, account management, and business development.
  • A high level of company representation with other industry professionals and at various exhibitions and functions.
  • Regular national, and occasional international, travelling with overnight stops will be required.
  • Attend regular seminars and workshops at d&b headquarters in APAC and elsewhere.
