Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals within the aerospace sector.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing aerospace clients and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients and partners to expand the customer base.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to clients, highlighting the company's aerospace capabilities and solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals align with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, pricing agreements, and other terms.
  • Ensure that contracts and agreements are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the aerospace sector.
  • Analyze market data to identify new product/service opportunities and potential risks.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support in achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, making necessary adjustments to strategies and goals.
  • Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Report on budget utilisation and sales performance to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards goals.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all sales activities adhere to industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Must have raw material (metals, i.e.: titanium) knowledge and aerospace industry network, particularly experience dealing with MRO customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace products, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Understanding of relevant aerospace regulations and compliance requirements.
