Sales Manager – Strategic Initiatives (APAC)

Overview:

The Sales Manager – Strategic Initiatives is responsible for driving business development and managing sales initiatives for the Industrial Communication (IC) range of products , including connectivity and network solutions such as electronic connectors, cable solutions, and Industrial Ethernet across the APAC region .

This role collaborates with Country Sales Organizations to drive sales performance, develop strategic plans, and achieve business growth objectives. It also plays a critical role in aligning sales efforts with market trends, customer needs, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive strategic initiatives and revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify new opportunities.
  • Set quarterly and annual sales goals while forecasting performance across the APAC region.
  • Expand the customer base by identifying and developing new business opportunities.

2. Business Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and country sales teams.
  • Address customer and country-specific needs , providing tailored solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product Management, and Development) to align sales strategies with execution plans.

3. Sales Operations:

  • Monitor and track sales performance , ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present sales reports covering sales volume, revenue, and expenses.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to drive efficiency in sales operations and execution.

4. Market Analysis & Insights:

  • Conduct market research in collaboration with country organizations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns and initiatives , adapting strategies as needed.
  • Identify emerging market trends and align sales approaches accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Industrial sales experience in connectivity and network solutions, including electronic connectors, cable solutions, and Industrial Ethernet , is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Business Development Manager , preferably in a regional role .
  • Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.
