Sales Manager

Our client is established since the early 80s, a freight forwarder with a real estate portfolio including warehouses, specialized in niche market freight forwarding and tailored logistics solutions for FMCG and luxury items.

Responsibilities:

1. Hunt and secure new business and customers.
2. Meet targets and/or increase the organization's revenue, volumes, and gross profit.
3. Execute business development strategies and tactics.
4. Interact with local and regional vendors (including Air, Ocean, and others) on securing the best rates in the market for customer proposal purposes.
5. Manage and analyze the performance of owned customers, identify the need for action and execute these actions.
6. Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required.
7. Maintain positive internal stakeholder relationships - CS, Operations, and warehouse.
8. Contribute ideas on process improvements & implementation of related improvements.
9. Execute and manage all other jobs as assigned by immediate and dotted line superiors.

Requirements:

1. Ability to secure new business and customers independently.
2. Experience in licensed warehouse / liquor, wine, and alcohol trade is an advantage.
3. Minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing role in freight forwarding, shipping line, air cargo, logistics, supply chain, or similar industries, in the roles of business development, sales, commercial, operations, or customer service.
4. Knowledge of customer retention and experience in dealing with customers.
5. Strong customer focus and service ethics.
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
7. Good consultative sales techniques and well-developed negotiation skills.
8. Possess a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics.
