Your day to day

1. Proactively sell the hotel’s event venues and hunt for corporate meeting and events via active solicitation through sales calls, site inspections and client networking events.
2. Achieving and exceeding financial targets under the guidance of the Director of Sales.
3. Monitor competitor activities and assist in marketing intelligence.

People

1. Develop key relationships with key event and meeting planners.
2. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
3. Interface with operations on a timely basis.

Guest Experience

1. Handle incoming catering inquiries from corporate and 3rd party M&E organizers.
2. Drive incoming catering leads conversion rate by actively communicating with clients and conducting site inspections.
3. Develop new corporate and 3rd party M&E accounts to obtain group/catering opportunities.
4. In charge of mice group files proactive sales handover and continuously follow up with clients.
5. Provide conference service during group or event in-house period to liaise with corporate or 3rd party M&E organizers.
6. Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients.

What we need from you

1. Diploma/Degree in Business or Hospitality management or related disciplines.
2. Minimum 1 year hotel sales experience, preferably in 5-star hospitality.
3. Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills to develop and foster beneficial relationships.
5. High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results.
6. High level of common sense and strong skills in problem solving and decision making.
7. In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques.
8. Strategic and tactical thinker - ability to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time.
9. Keeps abreast of changes and assesses trends in market conditions and consumer buying behavior to create strategies that drive business opportunities.
