Sales Executive / Coordinator - InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay

Hotel: Singapore Robertson Quay (SINIC), 1 Nanson Road, 238909

Responsibilities

  • Proactively sell the hotel’s event venues and hunt for corporate meetings and events via active solicitation through sales calls, site inspections, and client networking events.
  • Achieve and exceed financial targets under the guidance of the Director of Sales.
  • Monitor competitor activities and assist in marketing intelligence.
  • Develop key relationships with event and meeting planners.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Interface with operations on a timely basis.
  • Handle incoming catering inquiries from corporate and 3rd party M&E organizers.
  • Drive incoming catering leads conversion rate by actively communicating with clients and conducting site inspections.
  • Develop new corporate and 3rd party M&E accounts to obtain group/catering opportunities.
  • Manage MICE group files, ensuring proactive sales handover and continuous follow-up with clients.
  • Provide conference service during group or event in-house periods to liaise with corporate or 3rd party M&E organizers.
  • Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances, or dissatisfied clients.

What we need from you

  • Diploma/Degree in Business or Hospitality Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 1 year hotel sales experience, preferably in 5-star hospitality.
  • Strong presentation, commercial, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and foster beneficial relationships.
  • High level of passion, enthusiasm, and drive for results.
  • High level of common sense and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker - ability to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets, and deliver projects on time.
  • Keep abreast of changes and assess trends in market conditions and consumer buying behavior to create strategies that drive business opportunities.
