Sales Engineer - Outdoor Sales (Valves Industry)

Job Description

To take on a lead generation role by conducting market research, developing solutions, prospecting, and expanding referral networks. Provide exceptional service by identifying suitable products and co-creating solutions for clients' needs. Collaborate with Client Service Executives to grow and retain business through strong client relationships.

• Basic up to $5,000 + Allowances + AWS + VB
• Working Hours : Mon - Fri (8.30am - 5.30pm)
• Location : Upper Thompson

Job Responsibilities

1. Business Growth and Sales Targets

• Generate and qualify leads, schedule appointments for sales presentations.
• Provide consultative selling, cross-sell, and up-sell products/services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offer pre- and post-sales support.
• Stay technically knowledgeable to address client needs and suggest cost-saving improvements.
• Develop materials and presentations to highlight product benefits.
• Manage accounts through the entire sales cycle.

2. Coordinate Sales Efforts

• Collaborate with Client Service Executives (CSEs) and other departments.
• Align solutions with customer needs, manage expectations, and handle contracts.
• Track industry trends and competitor activities to suggest product improvements.
• Prepare costings, tenders, proposals, and quotations, and manage documentation.
• Negotiate contracts, coordinate with external partners, and report on sales activities.
• Address client complaints and share sales insights with the team.

3. Customer Service Excellence

• Respond to and resolve client complaints, provide timely after-sales support.
• Offer technical advice and refer complex queries to specialists.
• Notify clients of delays and find alternative solutions to minimize inconvenience.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure high-quality service standards.
• Build and sustain client relationships, securing new or additional sales.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical and/or engineering sales preferably in refineries/petrochemical plants/pharmaceutical plants or related industries.
• Possess own vehicle
