The Role

An adventurer to explore and secure new business opportunities that drive business growth, foster strong customer relationships, and deliver solutions to solve customer pain points. The in-depth knowledge of engineering technology and the ability to understand customer needs are the key contributing factors to the business growth.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Being proactive in identifying and developing new business opportunities via effective selection and categorization of customers.
  2. Practice effective account planning, preparation, and reporting by ensuring concise and effective updates of reports as required by management.
  3. Demonstrate effective account management and development via account analysis to establish a deep understanding of the customer’s business, their problems, concerns, and priorities.
  4. Achieve sales and GP budgets through product demonstration with confidence and credibility to customers regarding the technical and commercial benefits of IMI Precision Engineering’s products and their differentiation from the competition.
  5. Undertake effective up-to-date market trend analysis and provide feedback to the management team to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Play a key role in securing excellent, valid commercial contractual terms by assessing and identifying opportunities to reduce commercial risk, and negotiating appropriate contractual terms and conditions.
  7. Collaborate with the engineering team to keep tabs on post-sales feedback and support technical assistance to address customer concerns.
  8. Drive revenue growth from existing customers and solicit good customer farming experience.
  9. Provide updates in CRM for up-to-date reporting.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years or more with proven track sales records and technical understanding of how technical and product knowledge can be applied in practice, with strong understanding of Pneumatic systems; motion and fluid control.
  • Equipped with strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset to identify/address problem statements with appropriate solutions, with the ability to convey information effectively.
  • Independent, self-starter, team player, eager learner, keen problem solver.
  • Own vehicle is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote teamwork and growth.
  • Possess a strong sense of curiosity, able to grasp technical concepts quickly with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
