Sales Director

Leaseweb Singapore Sales organization takes full responsibility for sales, from engaging prospects to account management and seeking new opportunities to increase services to existing customers. The multi-cultural team consists of eager professionals who are driven and ambitious.

As a Sales Director at Leaseweb Singapore, you will drive Leaseweb's future growth engine by working with the regional sales team to develop Leaseweb’s client portfolio. You will lead and coach the sales organization, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as roll up your sleeves to work directly with the sales team.

We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success creating and developing high-performing teams. This position is characterized by independence, freedom of action, drive, and a sense of responsibility, naturally alongside a commercial focus.

Sales Coverage: APAC region (Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia); specific accounts and/or territory would be assigned based on priority.

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy for the sales team.
  • Lead direct and indirect accounts and be responsible for delivering on the sales KPIs, e.g., new funnel creation, timely opportunity progression, and successful closure of opportunities.
  • Play a key role in driving APAC revenue and key performance metrics.
  • Able to identify and understand customers’ business needs, coaching direct reports to translate customer needs to Leaseweb offerings.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and sales analytics.
  • Identify market opportunities to develop and grow a strong sales pipeline, ensuring annual targets are met.
  • Build a network and represent Leaseweb at congresses and seminars.

People Management

  • Inspire, motivate, and enable sales individuals to promote career growth and individual development.
  • Support the local sales team to increase sales pipeline and new client acquisition.
  • Collaborate and empower the team in executing the global business development strategy.
  • Orchestrate all activities and contributions so the local sales team can build long-term strategic business relationships with customers.

Marketing

  • Work closely with local and global marketing teams for sales pipeline development.

What we’re looking for

  • 7 – 10 years of experience in an International Sales Management function or similar, or proven to be an outperformer in a large sales role.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Management or relevant fields.
  • Excellent sales background with a focus on developing new business opportunities and selling advanced solutions to small and medium-sized company accounts.
  • Strong negotiating and planning skills.
  • Strong people management skills and cultural sensitivity to the region with the ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team.
  • Keen market knowledge/information to drive the team’s performance.
  • A strong network and experience in the IAAS or Tech industry.
  • Excellent English and strong communication skills. Mandarin or Cantonese would be a plus to liaise with stakeholders in the region.
  • Strong organizational and commercial skills.
  • Comfortable with business travel as required (<5%).
