Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing tech startup as a Sales and Marketing Lead, driving the development of data-driven solutions for the Built Environment sector. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the future of this industry through innovative and impactful solutions. As the Sales and Marketing Lead, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, driving the full sales cycle, from business development to strategic planning. You will also advocate for the client’s needs, ensuring a seamless customer experience. This position offers the opportunity to lead the growth of key accounts while refining the company’s market positioning. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, results-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Unearth and cultivate new business opportunities by creatively expanding existing accounts and generating new ones.
  • Identify and pursue potential new customers through various sales channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and marketing leads.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse sales data and key performance metrics to continuously refine and optimize the sales strategy and execution.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with both new and existing customers, and translating customer challenges into actionable business solutions.
  • Manage and control sales processes to achieve a predictable pipeline from prospecting, qualifying, management, and sales closure.
  • Provide an accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast of business activity and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, providing regular customer feedback to identify product strengths and areas of improvement.
  • Negotiate deals and contracts at various organisation levels.
  • Create customer success stories that highlight the company’s impact.
  • Manage invoicing, statements of accounts, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties to support the company's growth plans and contribute to the overall success of the strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Customer-first mentality with a high dose of empathy and passion for the Built Environment.
  • Vibrant and energetic attitude, with willingness to perform and see tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven sales track record and managing growing accounts.
  • Prior experience in IoT, SaaS, or data-driven technology solution sales.
  • Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry experience would be highly preferred and advantageous.
  • Strong sales process and account planning skills, and familiarity with sales management tools.
  • Skilled in both virtual and in-person presentations with the ability to create a strong impact through SaaS product demonstrations, and articulate a compelling business case to clients/prospects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • BSc/MSc in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
