Safety Officer/Coordinator

JOB SCOPE:

1. Ensure compliance of Safety, Health and Environment aspects in accordance to WSH Act and all its subsidiary regulations, as well as other Authorities requirements and regulations.
2. Implement and maintain company Safety Management System (SMS) procedures as well as SMM including documentation and recording system.
3. Assist the Safety Manager on the ISO 45001 audit.
4. Organise and conduct trainings on In-house Safety briefing to all employees including contractors.
5. Assist the Safety Manager in the planning and organising of the yearly Safety Campaign and Promotion programs.
6. Ensure Risk Assessment are carried out for all work activities and the control measures are implemented.
7. Oversee and lead the safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of company’s Safety Systems at sites.
8. Conduct investigation and prepare reports on accidents/incidents/dangerous occurrences including recommendations on countermeasures.
9. Carry out other Safety related function/duties and processes as directed by Safety Manager or Project Manager in charge at site.

PREREQUISITES:

1. Must possess Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent.
2. Preferably registered WSH Officer with MOM.
3. 2 years working experience in Oil & Petrochemical industries.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Responsible person with good attitude and able to work under minimum supervision.
6. Well versed in MS Words, Excel & PowerPoint.

Salary is negotiable and will commensurate with relevant work experience.
