Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing and carrying out all works relating to the safety, health and environmental matters in the project.
• Work closely with project team & contractors to mitigate and control all high risk hazards to maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensure overall compliance and good procedures/practices in statutory environmental and health requirements at project site and requirement premises at all time.
• Identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice carried out in the worksite.
• Implement and monitor environmental, health & safety management systems on site.
• Prepare, submit statutory reports and maintain documentation for all EHS issues according to ISO.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all site activities are carried out in compliance with MOM, NEA and EHS regulations.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on all environmental and safety issues.
• Support all in-house EHS initiatives.
• Oversee and manage the safety department.
• Drive WSH Awards initiatives and submissions.

Requirements

• Degree / Specialist diploma in WSH or MOM Recognised certificates.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer or related experiences.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is a must.
• Must be responsible, organized and self-initiated.
