About the Company:

We are a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities, committed to driving sustainable transportation solutions. Our mission is to offer reliable and accessible charging infrastructure to support the growing number of EV users.

Position Overview:

This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards across all our facilities, includes the development and implementation of safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and leading safety training programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to maintain a safe environment for our employees, contractors and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Policy Development:
    • Develop and update safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
    • Ensure all safety policies are communicated effectively to all employees and stakeholders.
  2. Inspections and Audits:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of EV charging facilities.
    • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    • Monitor the implementation of safety measures and improvements.
  3. Training and Education:
    • Lead safety training programs (“No Life at Risk”) for employees and contractors.
    • Ensure all personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
    • Develop educational materials and conduct workshops on safety practices.
  4. Incident Management:
    • Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses.
    • Prepare detailed reports and analyses of incidents.
    • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
    • Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Administer approval of safety documentations (“Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, etc”)
  6. Emergency Preparedness:
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
    • Conduct regular emergency drills and simulations.
    • Ensure all facilities are equipped with necessary emergency equipment.
  7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to integrate safety into all aspects of facility design and maintenance.
    • Collaborate with external partners and contractors to ensure consistent safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local safety regulations and standards.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Certifications in safety management is a plus.
