Conducts or provides for employee safety training/briefing, including classroom lectures, demonstrations, or hands-on instruction.
Implement Permit to Work (PTW) system for all high-risk work activities.
Conduct regular safety inspections and organize periodic audits.
Participate and advise Risk Management (RM) team in preparation of activity-based Risk assessment and safe work procedures.
Conduct safety coordination meetings and committee meetings as per regulatory requirements.
Conduct and present monthly OSH/HSE and accident/incident reports and findings.
Review and track accidents/incidents statistics and make recommendations for preventive measures.
Inspect the Company/site facilities, observing operations and activities, investigating health and safety complaints, and ensuring compliance with legislative obligations and statutory requirements.
Formulate and coordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Observe work in progress, ensure that proper safety equipment is worn, and procedures are followed.
Coordinate and consult with Project Managers, Project Engineers, WSH Officers, and Supervisors regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and notify them regarding violations of safety regulations.
Ensure preparation of safety manuals, training outlines, and employee instructions for work deemed to have recognized hazards.
Execute HSE programs to improve safety and health performance, update HSE forms/notice boards, and conduct toolbox meetings and safety orientations for employees and contractors.
Ensure that the Company/site complies with all environmental regulations regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal.
Schedule and chair regular safety meetings.
Maintain mandatory records and other documentation as required by regulatory authorities.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of work experience in shipyard/marine structure demolition and repair works (Civil/Structural/M&E).
Minimum 2 years of work experience in asbestos removal and disposal works.
Minimum 3 years of work experience working under ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards/requirements.
Have a valid WSH Coordinator Certificate.
Have a valid Occupational First-Aider Certificate/Card.
