SAFETY COORDINATOR (WSH)

5.5 Days a Week

Alternate Saturday Off

Mon - Fri: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Salary Range: $3000-$4000*

Plus AWS

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist WSH Officer in implementing OHSAS 18001 & safety management system on site.
2. Carry out checks on sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with safety regulations & requirements.
3. Conduct daily EHS inspections and rectify/correct any unsafe conditions and practices immediately.
4. Attend all safety meetings and inspections to ensure good working conditions are maintained on site.
5. Conduct daily Toolbox meetings for Main Contractor’s workers to brief about safe work practices and housekeeping.
6. Monitor and ensure all workers & staff have attended relevant safety training courses.
7. Educate workers about proper usage of PPE and ensure compliance on site.
8. Check and maintain documents of lifting equipment, electrical equipment testing/calibration reports.
9. Coordinate with the Client’s Safety Representatives.
10. Issue memos against safety, health, and environment violations.
11. Arrange the safety committee site audit schedule and meetings on a monthly basis.
12. Prepare minutes of site safety committee observations/findings and discuss in meetings.
13. Follow and ensure compliance with the safety committee’s recommendations.
14. Assist WSH Officer in accident investigation and report preparation.
15. Implement incentives for safety, health, and environment.
16. Check and ensure the availability of first aid boxes and firefighting equipment; follow up on servicing and maintenance.
17. Brief workers about emergency evacuation, escape routes, and headcount procedures at the Emergency Assembly Area.
18. Maintain SMS filing system.
19. Carry out any other duties as assigned by immediate superior or higher management.
