As a Safety and Health Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Report to Management, plan and advise management on accident prevention, safe work methods, legal requirements affecting safety and health.
• Deploy Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes.
• Ensure that all safety compliance and processes are adhered to by all workers.
• Coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Assist in ensuring compliance with ISO9001, 45001 and bizSAFE requirements.
• Track and monitor the site business premise licenses such as Fire Safety Certificate (SCDF), Electrical License, BCA license, PUB license, Flammable Storage license (SCDF), MOM Air Compressor, Overhead Crane, Weightbridge, etc.
• Track and monitor site environmental and facility equipment statutory conformances as per MOM, NEA, PUB, SCDF requirements.
• Conduct safety committee meetings and safety audits for management reporting.
• Ensure and conduct periodic toolbox meetings.
• Establish quality safety management policies and procedures.
• Ensure Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is applied within the site at all times.
• Responsible for effective site administration which includes site safety and control of materials on site.
• Assist in Work Injury investigation and submit reports when necessary.
• Attend site coordination, meetings, patrols, and other related activities as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety/ Environmental Science/ Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Good knowledge in Workplace Safety & Health Act, ISO45001, ISO9001 and BizSafe Star.
• Willing to travel, possess a valid Class 3 license.
• Fire Safety Manager certificate would be an added advantage.
• Registered WSH Officer preferred.
