Risk Specialist - LNG Trading (Exclusive search)

This is an Energy conglomerate, with ambitions to grow its LNG trading presence in Asia. In line with those ambitions, they are now partnering Kerry Consulting exclusively on the search for a high calibre risk specialist to be its first risk hire in Singapore/ Asia. This is a rare opportunity for those looking to be in a start-up and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Head of Risk, the risk specialist will lead all activities pertaining to market risk, middle office, daily P&L. As a start, the risk specialist will also be involved in credit risk activities for a select but manageable group of high-profile counterparties. He/ She will look to establish, enhance risk management frameworks aligned closely with the Group while concurrently work closely with commercial, operations, finance and back office to offer invaluable insights via risk management metrics and reporting. This will be an individual contributor role for now.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a degree holder in a finance or accounting or business discipline, with at least 5 years of experience in an energy trading firm. Those with experience in LNG Trading or those with end-to-end risk experience including market and credit will be viewed upon favorably. You will be described as highly analytical, an independent problem-solver with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
