Retail Procurement Manager /Head (Supermarket, Gift, Stationary, FMCG)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Manager / Senior Manager to lead and manage our procurement function across multiple product categories. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in FMCG purchasing, overseas sourcing (especially from China), and outstanding negotiation skills to drive cost efficiencies while ensuring quality and timely supply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
   Oversee the purchasing of gadgets, tidbits, and toys, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain reliability.
2. Identify and evaluate new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
3. Manage and optimize overseas sourcing operations, particularly from China, ensuring seamless communication and supply chain execution.
4. Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks in international procurement.
5. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
6. Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards.
7. Establish long-term partnerships with reliable vendors.
8. Manage procurement for specific categories, including gadgets, tidbits, and toys, ensuring proper inventory levels, market competitiveness, and quality standards.
9. Collaborate with the product development and sales teams to understand category-specific requirements.
10. Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance performance and efficiency.
11. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement department.
12. Oversee the procurement budget and ensure cost control measures are in place.
13. Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven experience in RETAIL purchasing and overseas sourcing, especially from China.
4. Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement for gadgets, tidbits, and toys categories.

Skills:

1. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
2. Ability to analyze market trends and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.
