Job description

Position Overview: Based in Singapore, the Retail Operations Management Trainee will play a crucial role in our retail operations across Southeast Asia, with a focus on the Indonesian market. This role is designed for newly graduated individuals looking to launch their careers in retail management, event planning, and customer service. The successful candidate will be fluent in Indonesian and have a strong foundation in business principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Operations:
    1. Assist in developing and executing event plans for in-store promotions and product launches.
    2. Support coordination with marketing and sales teams to align events with company objectives.
    3. Participate in managing event logistics, including vendor coordination and budget management.
    4. Contribute to analyzing event outcomes and providing recommendations for future improvements.
  2. Retail Store Inspections:
    1. Support in conducting regular store inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
    2. Identify areas for improvement and contribute to implementing corrective actions.
    3. Assist in evaluating store performance metrics and providing feedback to store managers.
  3. Training and Development:
    1. Participate in designing and implementing training programs for retail staff.
    2. Monitor training effectiveness and provide input for continuous improvement.
    3. Assist in developing and maintaining a library of training materials and resources.
  4. Sales and Performance:
    1. Support in setting and achieving sales targets for assigned stores.
    2. Contribute to strategies to increase customer traffic and conversion rates.
  5. Customer Relations:
    1. Help ensure high standards of customer service are maintained across all stores.
    2. Assist in addressing customer complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, completed within the last year.
  • Basic understanding of retail management and customer service principles.
  • Fluency in Indonesian and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret basic sales data and customer feedback.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn retail management software.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during store inspections and events.

Work Environment:

This role will be based in Singapore with regular visits to retail stores and event venues across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
