Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the travel retail operations across the 4 terminals in Changi Airport

  • Contribute to the business strategy of sales and business development by establishing control, managing stock level, and ensuring optimal stock par level through analysis of sales figures, trends, and forecasting future sales

  • Manage store’s merchandising, sales events, and stock management.

  • Manage point of sales, analyze the performance, propose, and implement any improvement actions required

  • Responsible for monitoring KPIs such as sales, average purchase, productivity, inventory, and loss control.

  • Ensure service excellence among the Retail team members according to our Service DNAs.

  • Coaching of Retail teams to provide exemplary product knowledge to assist customers with their needs.

  • Handle customers’ queries in a professional manner according to the company policy and CAG’s refund policy.

  • Ensure the stock level in the store is within acceptable thresholds and work closely with the Merchandising / Logistics team on stock replenishments and deliveries.

  • Accountable and responsible to investigate and report all loss prevention issues to management.

  • Involve in building and developing the retail team with the HR department, responsible for managing employee attrition and absenteeism, identifying training needs of individual employees.

  • Manage and ensure new team members are well trained and integrated into the new environment.

  • Coaching of team members to ensure achievements of customer service standards, retail KPIs, sales targets, and expectations are met consistently.

  • Assist the Head of Operations on team member objectives and to monitor/review their performances.

  • Conduct annual and half-yearly individual performance reviews with the Operations Manager.

  • Provide constructive feedback and constantly provide coaching to the team for improvement.

  • Develop and identify potential team members and propose promotions.

  • Plan and manage employees’ work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage on the shop floor.

  • Support any store initiatives (e.g., stock take, store change, renovations, opening and closing of stores).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years of travel retail or FMCG experience in managing a large sales team with a multi-store model.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good knowledge of MS Office tools.

  • Strong passion for customer service, energetic and motivated with a positive mindset, demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • People-oriented with the ability to motivate and coach the team.
